Starting off term 2, all I had to do to achieve the requirements of the project was to add a full floor. I extended my original floor to the entire house.
Today I added stools to my bar. I started off with one stool, and scaled it correctly. After that, the stool was facing the wrong direction, so I rotated it, and then copied and pasted it to create another. These little details are just adding to the overall house.
Retail Store Project
For my project, I will be designing a restaurant. My restaurant will be located in the center of the town of Somerset, Massachusetts. It will get good business on County Street because not many restaurants are around that area. My restaurant will have a full menu with a wide variety of meal choices. Along with this, there will be space for people to wait when the restaurant is busy. The restaurant will have tables and booths, along with a bar for the guests. It will have a big parking lot for guests and a small parking lot on the side for workers. The outside will be made of stone and have a lit up sign on the front of it. The sign will say “Alissa’s Place” as this will be the name of it. It will have a tar parking lot because it looks nicer aesthetically. It will have a sidewalk around the building at the edge of the parking lot for guests to walk. On the inside, it will be very pleasing to the eye. It will have a darker look, with dark tile floor (which makes it easier to clean for spills and washing). It will have grey walls with a tall black ceiling. This is so less attraction is given towards the ceiling. There will be lights that hang down on top of each table for a more romantic environment. The bar will have a nice black marble countertop. The restaurant will be large, as it will be a total of 50,000 square feet. It will be 250 feet by 200 feet. This includes the dining space as well as the kitchen area. My restaurant will be a perfect fit for the town of Somerset, and will get plenty of business since it is one of a kind.
I started by adding the outside walls. The store must be 50,000 square feet, so i made my store 250 feet x 200 feet.
I decided the walls are too short to fit a store at 12 ft high. I changed them to 20 feet tall.
This is going to be the main wall in between the dining space and the kitchen.
I spent a lot of time looking for a bar for my restaurant and every time I found one that I liked, It was not in DWG. So I decided I was wasting too much time an found a table. I haven't checked the dimensions yet, because it came in very small so I had to scale it larger.
Today I scaled my tables down, inserted and scaled a waiting bench, and inserted a doorway. Now I just need to copy more benches and tables.
I inserted a booth for the restaurant and scaled it down to the correct size. I will now duplicate them around the whole restaurant.
